I studied medicine at the Charité University Hospital in Berlin, Germany and was further trained at the Department of Cardiology and Endocrinology. From 2018 to 2020 I worked as a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Phoenix, Arizona in the United States of America. Since 2020 I continue my clinical residence in internal medicine and endocrinology at the University Hospital in Kiel, Germany. My research interests focus on obesity, diabetes, and lipid disorders. As a freelance journalist I regularly write articles for german magazines including Deutsches Ärzteblatt.
